123/UNI

The 123/UNI electronic ignition system is designed to work on 2CV 9hp, 375cc, A53, M4, A79/0, M28, A79/1 and M28/1 engines

The 123/UNI is ment for all Standard 2CV engines that were ever produced.

Features of the 123/UNI

The appropriate advance curve can be selected with a 16 position rotary switch which is located behind an opening in front of the housing. This unit is designed to work on both 6 Volt and 12 Volt systems.
The 123/UNI is designed to work on 2CV 9hp, 375cc, A53, M4, A79/0, M28, A79/1 and M28/1 engines in conjunction with the standard black coil. A 6 Volt type is available for 6 Volt batteries and a 12 Volt type for 12 Volt batteries. The dwell is automatically adjusted.
Upon installation, the user has to check the engine plate ('A', 'AZ', 'AM', 'AYA', 'AM2', 'AYA2', 'AK2', 'A06/642', 'AM2A' or 'A06/664') and consult the manual to find the appropriate setting for the rotary switch.

Please note the following about the 123/UNI

The unit also has a special setting for M28/1 engines running on LPG or on Ethanol, like the 'E85' which is used in Sweden. ('E 85' contains 85% ethanol and 15% standard fuel.)

Coils and spark plugs

Note: Although used coils all look alike, they should be viewed with suspicion since one cannot tell from the outside whether, and how often they were exposed to overheating in the past. Installing the 123ignition system will ensure that the coil will never be overheated again in future. We recommend the high efficiency coil.
