The 123/MERCEDES-6-R-V-IE is designed for W108, W109, W110, W111, W112, W113, W114, W123 and W130 6-cylinder engines with a Bosch D-jetronic injection system (a D-jetronic has 2 extra contact points for controlling the injection), in the Mercedes:
- 220
- 230, 230S, 230SL
- 250, 250SL, 250SE, 250CE
- 280, 280S, 280SE, 280SL
- 300SE, 300SEL, 300SEb

Features of the 123/Mercedes-6-R-V-IE electronic ignition

The unit offers a built-in LED for easy static timing and several different advance curves.

It also offers:
- Vacuum advance
- Automatic dwell
- Automatic power-cut after 1 second
- Gear shift retard

Coil and spark plugs

Although used coils all look alike, they should be viewed with suspicion since one cannot tell from the outside whether, and how often they were exposed to overheating in the past. Installing the 123ignition system will ensure that the coil will never be overheated again in future. We recommend our 123 Red Coil.
