123/VW-R-V for all 1, 2, and 3 VW's and the 181 with vacuum advance
The 123/VW-R-V can be used in all type '1', '2' and '3' VW cars WITH vacuum advance. In addition it can also be installed in the Porsche 356 and 912 models.

The 123/VW-R-V is developed in co-operation with VW Experts. In addition to the Beetle, Karmann Ghia and Buggy without vacuum advance, it can also be installed in the Porsche 356 and 912 models.
Features of the 123/VW-R-V electronic ignition
With a switch you can easily choose the advance-curve that is specified for your specific engine. The unit offers a built-in LED for easy static timing and several different advance-curves.
It also offers:
- Automatic dwell
- Automatic power-cut after 1 second

When you'll need a 123ignition without vacuum advance, please order a 123/VW-R.
Please read the installation manual carefully. It contains the specifications of the 123-ignition system, as well as a step-by-step description of the installation procedure. The installation instructions also contain a cross-reference between the original Bosch number and the setting of the 123VW-R, as well as a list which links VW engine numbers to the required setting of the 123ignition.
Coil and spark plugs
Although used coils all look alike, they should be viewed with suspicion since one cannot tell from the outside whether, and how often they were exposed to overheating in the past. Installing the 123ignition system will ensure that the coil will never be overheated again in future. We recommend the 123 Blue Coil.

Perfect product
Instaleren is een eitje. Kever start nu veel beter en loopt mooi gelijkmatig. Optrekken gaat nu in 1 stuk door zonder horten en stoten. Koud start is ook sneller en motor schudt minder bij stationair toerental. Dikke pluim!!!!

1966 1300 40PS Beetle
Works brilliant. Cold start is stunningly good, like in a modern car. Very reliable. Engine runs very smoothly!
Ontsteking en service zijn prima.
Door een vergissing kreeg ik de verkeerde ontsteking toegestuurd. Dit werd met één telefoontje prima en naar tevredenheid opgelost.
Het inbouwen was een fluitje van een cent. De Porsche 912 uit 1969 loopt er veel beter door. Ook op Euro 95 benziene.
