Hi
I want to add a 123Tune to my Jag and have already found the Lucas DMBZ6A Distributer curves and I believe they refer to Angles without the static 7degrees BTC setting. So I guess I have to add them to the curve but set the engine only to TDC without the 7 degrees.
I have a Lucas DB101 standard coil installed but do have a BERU ZS109, would I need to install a resistor to use it with the 123TUNE??
Do I need new/better sparkplug too? Curently I have the original Champion plugs.
Also it says to set Cylinder 1 to TDC and adjust the Rotor to Nr. 1. On the Jag they use Cyl 6 (in Front and easier to work with) and point the rotor to Cable position 6? or would that mess up the electronic on the 123Tune?
Oh please write in English.
Thanks for the info and I am ready to buy.
Bernhard
It can work either way. I would add the 7 degrees (or 8, which is a more or less standard static time) to the advance curve from Lucas. Adjust, like the manuel says, with the LED and fine adjust with a stroboscopic light.
When you use the beru ZS109 with a tune, you don't have to install a balast resistor.
You can use the original spark plugs.
When you use Cyl 6 in stead of 1 it doesn't mess up the electronics, as long as the timing is correct.
Best regards, Leen
Thanks Leen
Within the next few weeks I will get that 123tune from You.
You also offer the best price anywhere on the net and I guess shipping to Germany is no problem.
Sincerely
